From COVID launch to 52+ global events
A domain and a bet
While the event industry collapsed during COVID, founder Nilay Khandhar saw what was coming next. Events would return stronger, but the tools wouldn’t keep up. He registered xpro.ai, a name chosen to sound like “expo,” and started planning.
Development begins
With 14 years of software development experience, Nilay assembled the first team and started building. The goal: replace the fragmented, manual stack that event organizers had been stuck with for decades.
First live event
The platform went live at its first real event. It went well, and that created a problem. The success gave the team false confidence. We spent months building features nobody asked for, with no clear business plan behind it.
The shift: SaaS to ground ops
Deployed across 7 customers over 10 consecutive nights. The entire leadership team worked as check-in staff on the ground. Scanning QR codes, managing badge printers, handling 1,500-person surges in 20-minute windows. This changed everything.
52+ events. 15 people. One platform.
Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Handles the full event lifecycle: registration, ticketing, QR check-ins, exhibitor management, CRM, badge printing, analytics, and payments. All white-labeled. And when event day comes, the team shows up.

Build from demand, not imagination
We ship only after someone needs it, and ideally after a second client asks for the same thing. Product without demand is expensive imagination.
Reduce friction, elevate experience
Every feature must clearly improve how organizers operate and how attendees feel. If it doesn’t pass that test, it doesn’t ship.
Build from the ground, literally
Our leadership has worked event gates, badge counters, and check-in stations. Software built in isolation doesn’t survive contact with a real venue.
